Pessimism

Who's a pessimist? I describe a person who lays in his bed thinking how pathetic life is and finally decides to end his life there and then. He looks up and sees the fan turning at a slow speed and starts visualizing a person hanging from it, lifeless, departed. Then suddenly something kicks into his brain and his smiling face changes into a frown, he is wondering what if the fan gives way because of the weight. What if the hanging doesn't work? What if it brings down the roof along spoiling his bed? What if.....

He tried living a life, he tried to create a space where happiness was his constant companion, where love was the fuel for the present and the future. But if the present becomes obscured by the fantasies- both good or bad of the future, what chance would he stand?
