You cant please everybody. Life doesn’t allow you to do so. Now you may say that with the right conditions that we set up, we can engender a perfect relationship, be it love, friendship or professional partnership. However we fail to take in factors that have an effect in the long run; facts like personality traits, approach to problems and solutions, moral and ethical viewpoints and so forth. Sometimes a perfect other half may be found by trial and error in the wide range of the cosmos but the circumstances may be such that one cannot enjoy the relationship in the way one envisioned it. Life ensures that we strive and struggle hard to find and enjoy the perfect love, the perfect friend but in such a way that we don’t make our cake and eat it too. Life's a beautiful struggle. There are never victories in the war called life. After all we all know we are going to lose the final battle against death no matter what we do. We can just hope that all the checkpoints and battles we endure in life lead to a good feeling inside us. Now each of us may have a different stimulus that makes us feel all good and hunky-dory. For some it may be earning a lot of money, for others it might be travelling, yet others might find caring for others to be a spiritual high for them. Whatever one does, if it makes one genuinely feel good, then 9.9 times out of 10, we are on the right path to happiness. So on the way to our Final Destination, there should be a purpose to all our activities. Of course, the highest purpose is being happy. As one thinks about it, there is no other real purpose in life; we are not here to make smaller mobiles, better cosmetics, sassier clothes. It is true that we are remembered for these trivial things in today's misguided world. But I think the real happiness lies in being happy with yourself without caring for external feedback. Yes, other people's opinions are helpful and a useful gauge, but they are not the primary benchmark. The happiness that make us feel exalted and energized from within is the real deal folks. You know, to tell the truth, the lazy and crude part of me doesn’t want to believe in that. But you will agree that walking bare footed on bright green grass covered with dew or sitting with a better half, hand in hand along a nice lake with crystal clear water and feet dipping into the cool water do make you feel in seventh heaven.
Personal Footnote: I personally enjoy the rain, especially the rain that is the first in the summer season. It usually comes with the sky having a red shade and dusty winds moving with a calming coolness across the seductive skyline. I recently decided to take a purging session by drenching myself in unusually chilly rainfall that occurred on the onset of summer (just before the minor exams). There was also a brief hailstorm and I took off my shirt and enjoyed the full force of nature against my bare body. Well nature was a little benevolent on me by not hitting me too hard and I appreciate that.
